A FIP DUAL BLOCK® L-port is a specific configuration of a true union 3-way ball valve from the manufacturer FIP, designed for diverting flow in industrial applications. The "L-port" refers to the L-shaped bore in the internal ball that directs flow between two ports at a 90-degree angle. A uPVC 3-way valve is a type of flow control valve made from unplasticized polyvinyl chloride (uPVC).

DUAL BLOCK® is the new patented system developed by FIP that gives the possibility to lock the union nuts of true union ball valves in a preset position. The locking device then ensures the nuts are held in position even under severe service conditions: i.e. vibration or thermal expansion.

The 3-way valves typically come in two variations, T-Port and L Port:

• L-Port: Diverts flow between two outlets (e.g., inlet → outlet A or inlet → outlet B).

• T-Port: Can allow mixing, splitting, or diverting of flow between three ports.
