IND 830s "Organic Scavenger" Anion Resin 

INDION 830s is a microporous grade polystyerenic strong base type I anion exchanger having quaternary ammonium functional groups. The proper mix of loosely bound crosslinks and highly porous matrix provide it better adsorption kinetics for long-chain organic molecules. Such type of molecules generally causes fouling of functional polymers. However, INDION 830s does not face this problem because it is reversible in the regeneration cycle. Indion 830ss is cosmetically stable and is supplied in chloride form.

Applications 

As IND 830s resin has a better affinity for coloring matters in chloride form, it can be effectively used as a decolorizes in the processing of sugars, starch hydrolysates, textile processing wastewater, etc. One of the proven applications of IND 830s is for the removal of naturally occurring organics and coloring matter from groundwater in the Himalayan region. 

NOTE: Due to the complexity of structure and nature of dissolved organics in water, and waster water, we recommend the user runs small scale tests before implementing large scale systems.

Storage

Ion exchange resins require proper care at all times. The resins must never be allowed to become dry. Resins should, therefore, be always kept in shade. Since Indion MB 115HP is supplied in highly regenerated condition, any exposure to atmospheric air must be avoided as this will convert it to the carbonate form. The resin packing should not be opened during storage. 

Safety

Acid and alkali solutions are corrosive and should be handled in a manner that will prevent eye and skin contact. If any oxidizing agents are used necessary safety precautions should be observed to avoid accidents and damage to the resin.
