Venturi's are typically used for dosing chemicals (such as ozone or chlorine), into water.
The Venturi works by creating a vacuum (suction), which draws the chemical/substance from the source (such as a dosing pump, drum, or ozone generator), through a feed pipe then into the water, effectively dosing it.
